Message from Recruitment Officer

Eiwa Boueki began its business as a privately-run trading store in the middle of the Meiji period. After the Second World War, we started importing and wholesaling precious gems, with a focus on diamonds, and this has grown into our core business today. We purchase processed diamonds and rough gemstones, which we send to our own cutting factory in Thailand with directions regarding cutting. The finishing processes are carried out in Japan, before we sell the stones to our business partners, which include jewelry makers and buyers. We also receive cutting requests directly from end customers. With very few companies handling cutting here in Japan, Eiwa Boueki was one of the first companies in Japan to introduce cutting machines from Israel. We have established systems that enable us to meet our customers’ requests promptly and with high quality.
The diamond market in Japan was worth around three trillion yen around 1986, but it has since fallen to 700 billion yen today. The number of our competitors has also shrunk to one-twentieth of the number that were around at the industry’s peak. Eiwa Boueki’s ability to survive in such circumstances can be attributed to the way in which we manage our company, with our feet planted firmly on the ground, unswayed by the ups and downs of the economy and the times. Most importantly, however, it is due to the value we place in the faith and trust of our customers, which has been our company motto since its very foundation.
We are seeking people who can work in the technical area of our business. We look forward to meeting people who will inherit Eiwa Boueki’s traditional techniques and value the trust that we have built up to this day.
